Mission
Technology, trade, economic security, energy, and industrial policy continue to change fast — and for many businesses and organizations, the pace of change has outstripped their capacity to track it, analyze implications, plan around it, and act with confidence. Delphi Trias Group was launched to offer clients a steady, experienced, proactive partner to manage so much change on so many fronts. We help clients better understand what's happening, prepare for what's next, and build strategies durable enough to hold up as material conditions rapidly shift paired with tactics flexible enough to adapt with agility.
Our work with clients begins with a commitment to fully understand what a client is trying to accomplish and what has been working, and what has not. We provide candid, creative, and actionable counsel and partner with you to get better results. Our work centers on personal attention, boutique service, independence, and flexibility. These attributes are an advantage, not a limitation — we become part of your team to advance your priority objectives, and we draw from our varied experiences to upgrade your approach and results.
How We Work
Commit to the material, not the marginal
Don't confuse motion for movement
Seek and center on the signal, not the noise
Track Record
Standing up and leading teams: Stood up and led a 15–20 person Washington office for a Fortune Global 500 conglomerate. Advanced business policy priorities across technology, economic security, energy, trade, tax, supply chain, manufacturing, life sciences, and other policy and legislative matters at the federal and state levels. Optimized and leveraged a network of outside consultants, law firms, trade associations, and think tanks to enhance the team’s work and results. Led operations, budget planning, executive secretary function and supported policy priorities at USTR.
Counseling senior leadership: A successful track record of working directly with CEOs, senior executives, Members of Congress, Cabinet Officers, and senior officials to analyze complex issues, develop strategies, make decisions, and achieve objectives. Worked across trade agreements, legislation, technology and economic security policy, tax issues, and supply chains.
Leading coalitions and campaigns: At Business Roundtable worked closely with CEOs and team members from over one hundred member companies to advance trade and international priorities impacting their businesses. Led coalitions, ran advocacy campaigns, and advised member companies across trade, supply chains, economic security, and international economic policies.
Durable relationships rooted in trust: Over two decades of work with leading public sector and private sector teams. Established a deep and trusted professional network across government, industry, and advocacy community and achieved results together across the aisle and across Administrations.
Building the Right Team
No two challenges call for the same plan or the same team. Beyond our three core service areas, Delphi Trias Group draws on a trusted network of partners across lobbying, legal, communications, think tanks, and content development. We can assemble whatever combination of skills you need, whatever your project's size, scope, and complexity. We also can align our work with your current external partners, and we thrive working on teams to get better results and will do our part. We have extensive experience leading, coordinating, and supporting teams, and can design a suite of services and a consultancy team with our clients that best meets their objectives.
What’s in a Name and a Place
Our Founder was born in Washington, D.C. He has deep family and community roots across the DMV where he grew up and is raising his family. His career has spanned five Administrations and many shifts in majorities, political power, and policy paradigms. He learned from his father, an accomplished trade lawyer, from Senators, Cabinet Officers, CEOs, Law Firm Partners, and other public service and private sector leaders. Through these experiences working with talented and principled teams, he learned that operating with integrity, transparency, and teamwork produces the best results, and he built trusted relationships and friendships that endure through any challenge or change.
Change defines today’s policy, politics, and geopolitics paired with rapid technological innovation, economic disruption, and supply and demand shocks. Tackling these challenging variables effectively requires principled leadership, relationships grounded in trust, and expertise developed through lived experiences and a long-term perspective. Our Founder considered all these factors and his experiences in choosing the name Delphi Trias Group.
